A national hospitality company needed to meet status quo with ever-increasing hotel network speeds. They were currently in a situation where they were over paying for low-bandwidth, dated connectivity solutions.

The company brought in a new CIO, whom immediately called for an audit of existing systems. The new executive was previously at another hospitality company that did work with a TBI partner specializing in telecom and network consulting. This partner was immediately engaged to assess the network at all 20 locations, and quickly uncovered a need for improved network technology and an opportunity to decrease costs.

Different solutions were offered to different locations – from MPLS and Fiber, to Ethernet and PRIs. The partner worked with TBI to quickly quote these solutions through XO and the local ISP. With several locations already OnNet, XO’s pricing was very competitive, even for the locations that were not OnNet. Having good experiences with XO in the past, the TBI partner closed deals at 9 of the locations.

The variety of network solutions sold at all 9 locations lead to a total MRC of more than $13,000 over 36-months, resulting in a total contract value of nearly $450,000, a discount from what was previously being paid while enjoying greater network bandwidth. Additional locations are still being assessed for voice solutions and redundant network offerings. As new locations are acquired, this partner looks forward to the ability to quickly turn up additional sites when OnNet with XO’s network. When a location is OnNet, deployment can typically be completed in under 60 days allowing seamless integration to the existing network. The convenience of working with TBI has allowed this partner to streamline operations by outsourcing their back office and relying on TBI to quote and project manage the post-sales process, including installs and even construction. A partner since 2007, they will continue to work with TBI to offer a variety of solutions at TBI’s preferred rates.
