Mitel MiCloud Case Study

Mitel Case Study

A regional healthcare provider was suffering from an aging hosted VoIP system that provided low quality of service (QoS). An IT provider, who had previously assisted the healthcare provider with connectivity, introduced a TBI partner, PCM Networking, to the customer. PCM immediately engaged TBI to utilize their resources and help identify the proper solution. TBI then engaged Mitel and with just a few quick phone calls and a lunch meeting with TBI, Mitel and PCM facilitated face-to-face introductions.

Mitel, PCM and TBI’s solution engineers worked together to perform an analysis of the customer’s current, CoIP solution. The customer identified problems such as poor-quality voice, dropped calls and mediocre support when requesting help. Not only was their current VoIP system outdated and slow, the customer also had offices in two separate locations that needed to work with each other. After discussing the customers current solution as well as their end goal, it was clear that the best option was to move their communications platform to the cloud.Hosted Voice/UCaaS were identified as an opportunity for the customer to upgrade their solution with a move to a MiCloud Connect solution.

TBI’s marketing team added value by providing white label documents on cloud-based products and the benefits that cloud solutions could provide to a company. After speaking with Mitel and the solution engineers and reviewing the while labels, the customer felt comfortable in moving forward with a cloud solution.

A contract was signed for 28 MiCloud Connect Profiles and 28 IP 480G phones spread between two physical locations. The deal closed at $671 MRC over 36-months for a total contract value of $24,000. This lunch meeting has led to other TBI/vendor events, webinars and knowledge transfer opportunities that will continue to enhance the exposure and increase sales for PCM.

UCaaS adds value to healthcare providers such as this customer by providing higher quality VoIP solutions, offering low monthly payments, and typically waiving large upfront capital expenses.
