One of the largest death care companies across the US and Puerto Rico was looking an easier way to manage its employees’ mobile phones while also lowering costs. With over 320 cemeteries and 90 funeral homes across 27 states, it had over 1,100 active mobile lines with a single carrier. The company required as little service disruption as possible during migration.
MetTel migrated all 1,100 lines over to MetTel service, utilizing the original underlying network with nothing more than a SIM card swap on devices. This ensured minimal service disruption to end-users while allowing the company to take advantage of MetTel’s wireless rates and enterprise mobility management tools such as the MetTel Portal. MetTel Portal allows customers to make better, more informed decisions with actionable insights into budgeting, forecasts, variances, spend and usage for enhanced predictability and significant savings.
The entire project was completed within 60 days from signing. As a result of migrating to MetTel, the company has realized 23% in savings. This equals over $8,500 in monthly savings and over $300,000 over a 36 month term.
