A global distributor was dissatisfied with its existing network solution. The company, which spans across 26 countries was not receiving quality service or support from its communications and data provider. Looking for a change, the Director of IT Infrastructure thumbed through his rolodex remembering the great experience he had previously working with TBI partner Paradigm Technology Group, LLC.
Through a series of meetings, needs were assessed, legacy solution and satisfaction were gauged and various alternative options were discussed. The Paradigm staff engineered a solution that met the current and future state of the customer’s operations and several network solutions were evaluated and quoted through TBI. After a bake-off with each vendor, it was clear Masergy was the most technology-forward, knowledgeable carrier with superior service and support offerings. Once the contract was signed and implementation began, the real benefit of Masergy’s differentiators kicked in. Masergy provided a very turnkey solution where implementation was comparatively hands off for the customer, requiring just a phone call a week. As the locations came online, Masergy proactively monitored the connection preventing packet loss, network downtime and service degradation before a potential occurrence.
While fiscal considerations are always part of every decision, price was never the biggest concern, so the customer wasn’t turned off by a slight cost increase. For them it was all about service delivery and support. The initial deal of 30 circuits closed at $66,747 MRC over 48-months, resulting in a total contract value of $3,203,890. The first site was up and running within 90 days and additional locations have since been sold for $5,187 over 36 months, for an additional contract of $186,741.
