BCN Case Study
A worldwide manufacturer of industrial packaging was seeking to simplify a complex technology infrastructure at 45 of its locations. Its search for a single-source wholesale aggregator led it to TBI agent partner CDW for assistance with its initial network specifications. Aware of BCN’s expertise in multi-location, multi-service, and multi-network deployments, CDW engaged the provider through its TBI Channel Manager to conduct a network qualification and discovery process.
Close collaboration between BCN’s network engineering department, TBI Channel Manager Samantha Doti, CDW, and the customer’s internal IT department led to the realization that many “must-have” IT services were missing. To fix this issue, CDW signed a contract with the industrial packaging manufacturer to provide the following solutions at $50,000 MRC, resulting in a total contract value of $1,200,000:
- Cable
- DSL
- FiOS
- 4G LTE
- Managed Routers
- Network Monitoring
- DIA/Ethernet
- PRI
- POTS
- SIP
- Long-Distance Calling
- Toll-Free and Reservation-Less Calling
In addition to being impressed with the services it was provided, the customer placed a high value on BCN’s project management and installation capabilities, as well as its ability to customize their invoicing on a granular level. Also of importance to the customer is the BCN process/follow through with regard to billing reconciliation which will enable them to easily provide proof of savings to their board of directors.
Together, BCN, TBI, and the CDW won the deal by effectively collaborating and presenting a superior solution in terms of network engineering and cost reduction. The customer is excited to consolidate all of its telecom services, leverage its total spend, reduce its operating costs and gain access to newer technologies and management tools.
