TBI Hosts Series of Wellness Weeks

Telecom Brokerage, Inc. Hosts Series of Wellness Weeks to Ensure Internal Welfare

CHICAGO [January 9, 2013] – TBI has continued with their 2012 momentum into the New Year with a focus on the overall well being of the company and their employees. With weeklong series of events, employees can see that TBI is returning their invested time and effort. The objective of the “Wellness Weeks” is to coach staff and encourage them in their personal determinations to live better lives.

As part of TBI’s continued Channel Health Initiative, the master agent of telecommunications held a “Wellness Week” in November for employees. The goal of TBI Wellness Week was to educate staff and support them in their efforts to get fit, eat better and generally take steps to lead a healthier life. With daily events and a raffle with prizes at the end of the week, employees felt inspired to make healthy choices.

With the New Year starting, TBI’s most recent “Wellness Week” was focused on financial wellness. TBI’s Financial Wellness Week aims to enroll staff in a new 401k Plan starting in February, educate them to be financially successful, and provide them with budgeting tools to manage their funds. With daily workshops and information sessions, employees felt empowered about their account options.

Geoff Yearack, TBI’s Vice President of Operations feels there are many advantages to promoting overall health throughout the company. “As TBI continues to grow, our executive team is committed to making TBI a great place to work,” said Yearack. “Helping our staff understand the benefits of physical, mental and financial wellness is one way to support this goal. Throughout 2013 we will be adding to this initiative with, personal wellness and work-life balance.”

TBI employees embraced both the initial Wellness Week, which focused on physical health, and January’s Financial Wellness Week, reaching the goal of putting a focus on overall wellbeing. Participation was encouraged resulting in a moral boost for the entire team. TBI will continue to invest in the wellbeing of their team with more to follow throughout 2013.
