Telecom Brokerage, Inc. hosts partners at a Northern California networking event

Comcast, EarthLink and Windstream sponsor an afternoon of wine tasting and making.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CHICAGO [July 23, 2012] – On July 12th, Master Agent TBI hosted a networking event representing Northern California’s existing and potential partners at McGrail Vineyards in Livermore, CA. The event was sponsored by TBI vendors Comcast Business Class, EarthLink Business and Windstream.

The event opened with presentations from TBI and its sponsoring vendors. In attendance were Comcast’s Charlie Rodriguez, Cody Calhoun and Nick Tornetta, EarthLink’s JR Cook, Chris Gatschet and Shirley AhSing, and Windstream’s Rob Olson and Tim Cipriani.

After learning about new products and offerings from both vendors and TBI, all attendees then moved on to a reception with appetizers and beverages. Guests then participated in a wine-blending camp and broke into teams to mix their own wine and create their own wine labels. McGrail’s head wine maker chose the best label and wine from all the teams, and each participant from the winning team went home with a gift from the vineyard.

National Channel Manager Mary Beth Wendt, spearheaded the event as TBI’s local resource for Northern California partners. “Our networking event was quite a success. Not only did we all gain more knowledge on what our vendor’s product focus is at this time, but we were able to connect local partners and vendors, which has already started to generate new opportunities for our participants,” said Wendt.

“This type of event offers a benefit to all who participate,” said Comcast Director of National Partner Programs Cody Calhoun. “This is an intimate forum that fosters relationship development and helps to facilitate knowledge and ultimately business as a result. The TBI team made it a point of introducing Comcast to some of their top partners in the Bay Area and aided in the engagement and conversation based on their in depth knowledge of their partner community. We look forward to the next time we can participate in another event like this with TBI.”

EarthLink VP Channel Partner Sales, J.R. Cook adds,“It is great to see a Master Agent the size of TBI taking the time to be out in the field sitting with existing and prospective partners. This was a unique event, allowing carriers more that an opportunity to present, but real face time with TBI sub-agents building relationships.”

Sarah Crawford of IT Ops Consulting added, “Besides a great time, I made contact with people who were helpful to network with, and got an overview of some vendors that perfectly fit my customers' needs that I hadn't considered before. It was a great opportunity to get away from my desk and back in the mix.”

TBI is currently planning more networking events in areas where they have channel management support, including Denver and Southern California.
